This triple skin brick wall before and after photo in North Melbourne shows our work treating a heritage lime mortar wall. Vegetation was removed and remedial dampcoursing was injected into the brick work as well as a silane based sealer which was topically applied to the wall. These products were chosen with suitibility in mind for the breathable brick and mortar system, vitally important when troubleshooting this old walls. The two way breathability of the lime mortar requires sympathetic waterproofing solutions, otherwise the water vapour can be trapped inside causing mould and rot on timber components of the refit.
